Customer Success Engineer, Brazil
Irisity develops and produces an industry-leading suite of advanced video analytics products using cutting-edge AI technologies for the video surveillance and security industry.
We are seeking a Customer Success Engineer based in Brazil (ideally in Sao Paolo) who is a native Portuguese speaker and professionally proficient in written and spoken English. The ideal candidate wants to be part of an exciting future in a high-growth industry and a fast-moving company.
You will coordinate with the global Customer Success Engineering team, with the Director of Customer Success Engineers, based in the US, as your primary Irisity contact. The primary focus is the Brazilian market, while working closely with colleagues globally. It is therefore important that you bring strong familiarity with the Brazilian market and the ability to build productive relationships with our current and new channel partners, end customers, and VMS partners.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Success Engineer Responsibilities
· The role combines technical presales and solution guidance, deployment support and partner enablement, and escalation coordination.
· Work closely with the sales organization to ensure that we give appropriate attention to a defined set of integrators, consultants, end customers, and distributors. You will be the central point for educating partners and building Irisity analytics knowledge and deployments in Brazil.
· Deliver partner and customer presentations, demonstrations, end-to-end proofs of concept, and RFQ/bid proposals to increase the win rate.
· Assess customer requirements and recommend scalable, secure, and supportable video analytics solutions – and take it forward to secure renewals and expansion by demonstrating value and strong customer insight.
· Enable partners through training, documentation, reference architecture, and practical deployment guidance.
· Promote partner self-sufficiency while supporting complex opportunities and customer risks.
· Maintain dotted-line responsibility for Tier 1 cases and coordinate high-priority escalations through resolution or documented handoff.
· Own trusted technical relationships with channel partners and end customers from onboarding through adoption, renewal, and expansion.
· Understand business objectives, technical requirements, success measures, risks, and evolving needs.
· Maintain clear success plans and conduct regular reviews of customer health, adoption, and outcomes.
· Act as the customer’s technical advocate and coordinate the appropriate internal resources.
Technical Background and Expectations
· Ideally 5+ years of experience in video analytics, video surveillance, VMS, or a related technical field, including customer success, solutions engineering, deployment, implementation, or support responsibilities.
· Knowledge of VMS integrations, cloud, network, server, storage, and camera infrastructure.
· Hands-on experience deploying and supporting applications on CNCF-conformant Kubernetes.
· Administration-level Linux knowledge, preferably Ubuntu 22.04 and/or RHEL 7.9, including filesystems, command-line administration, permissions, users, sudo, and networking.
· Strong knowledge of hardware architecture and sizing for video analytics deployments, including CPU and memory requirements, GPU selection and capacity planning, video decoding and AI processing workloads, storage performance and retention calculations, RAID and redundancy considerations, and network throughput requirements.
· Experience with Kubernetes management, logging, and monitoring tools such as Rancher, KubeSphere, Elasticsearch, and Kibana.
· Strong troubleshooting, communication, presentation, organization, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Operational experience managing technical customer and partner relationships across onboarding, adoption, operational support, and escalations in Brazil’s security or technology market. Global experience is also an advantage.
Candidate profile
· You bring a proactive, “let’s get things done” attitude.
· Strong at communicating technical knowledge to non-technical audiences.
· You bring a technical background combined with strong business understanding.
· Meet agreed deadlines for reporting, documentation, risk escalation, and follow-through in company systems.
· Extroverted, with the ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and R&D.
· Service-minded and customer-oriented. You see the glass as half full rather than half empty.
· AI: Strong practical proficiency with general-purpose AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of everyday work, including opportunity and bid qualification, technical writing, advanced troubleshooting, research, automation, and scripting. This requires the ability to validate AI-generated outputs and apply appropriate judgment, accuracy, confidentiality, and security controls.
· Irisity is an international company, and corporate language is English. Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and professional proficiency in English is required. Spanish is an advantage.
· Ability to travel within Brazil and occasionally elsewhere in Latin America, as agreed.
· Provide reasonable flexibility across time zones for planned global work and critical customer needs.
· A relevant bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
